Bio
I'm Micaela Cohen, a Massachusetts native with a passion for entertainment and communications. Ever since early childhood, I have loved entertainment and pop culture. On Halloween in 2002, against the wishes of my parents, I arrived at kindergarten sporting a red sequined jumpsuit and a microphone headset - I insisted on dressing as Britney Spears in the “Oops I did it again” video. As the story goes, my mother looked around in embarrassment as she saw all of my peers dressed as witches, wizards and animals.
Throughout my four years at the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications I have been equipped with the skills to become a successful communicator in the digital age. I have had the opportunity to intern with The Miami Dolphins football team, Regan Communications, and Bank of America. For the past year I have had the pleasure of working at Rubenstein Communications as an Account Coordinator, and gained hands on exposure to the entertainment industry while working with a number of high-profile clients. In this role, I manage tasks and complete projects for over 10 clients at a time; whether it’s overseeing the red carpet at the Time 100 Gala, helping execute Dwyane Wade’s massive farewell retirement tour titled #OneLastDance, or monitoring crisis messaging for an incident on opening night of The Cher Show on Broadway.
